LOS ANGELES – February 28, 2002 – Lenny Kravitz won his fourth Grammy Award in the “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” category for the single, “Dig In,” at the 44th annual Grammy ceremonies held last night in Los Angeles. Never before in Grammy history has an artist taken home four consecutive awards in this category. Beating out artists such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, John Mellencamp and Ryan Adams, Kravitz was thrilled to receive such an honor. His previous wins in the category include awards for “Again,” “American Woman” and “Fly Away.”

Lenny Kravitz’s self-titled 7th album continues to have incredible success around the globe, with worldwide sales nearing 3,000,000 and recently certified platinum in the US. The album’s second single “Stillness Of Heart” was recently the #1 most added track at Modern Rock radio. Kravitz also just took home his first American Music Award for Favorite Male Artist (Pop/Rock).

Lenny will be kicking off his world tour in Japan on April 9th, with US dates to be announced shortly.
